Although United is getting cheap, it will not cut back the ramen service. Those instant noodle cups are basic amenities these days. It will possibly downgrade it to a cheaper brand though... Soba noodles -- I don't think so!

I think this is what happened here... United has reduced the number of ramens stocked on board. So they ran out in the middle of the flight. I will write a letter to United and explain why they need to stock more ramen noodles.

If I am correct, the US agricultural department does not allow importation of any food items into the US. They burn all the leftovers and that maybe the reason why United cannot reuse the ramen noodles and reduces the stocks.

Anyway, you definitely need to write to United and hopefully they will increase the stocks of ramen noodles. AS United's food continues to deteriorate, the demands for ramen noodles will increase.
