My flight UA1559 from IAH to SFO on June 13 was cancelled that morning 10 minutes before the scheduled boarding time.

We were told that one of the cockpit crew members called in sick and there was no backup crew to man the flight. The flight was cancelled.

I wonder if this was also the pilot refusing to work overtime in a protest over a lack of progress in contract talks.
