In fact the liquids ban was begun by the British aviation authority, and backed by IATA. The US and TSA didn't invent it. It's a more creditiable threat than you think!

Trust hundreds of thousands of people? Where are you from? Do you have any idea how easy it is to bribe/coerce/fool a crew member into bringing something airside?

And the "liquid threat" is indeed a BIG FAT LIE. I'd be pleased to hear of any compound that even remotely fits the description of the idiotic 'liquid plot'. Use big words, long chemical compounds, whatever you like. I'm very fluent at discussing chemistry, engineering, etc.
