Ah - the old quirky hibernate problem

That's a new one on me, because the hibernate function on every machine I've ever seen works flawlessly. Do you initiate it by just touching the power switch, or some other way?

I use standby when I'm on AC and hibernate on battery, because hiber is a "powered-down" state and standby isn't.
