Standby exclusively. I don't use hibernate at all, and have it disabled.
One thing I'll say about my T60 is that it's standby time is very good. I've left it in standby for a couple of days and still found it to have 70-80% of its charge left.
I am in this camp. I have found hibernate to be very quirky and hard to wake up from. Standby is fast and easy for me. Sometimes this does get funky when I am at home and toggling between meeting rooms and my office where I have a dock and a larger screen with different resolution.
