It seems like everyone has a fairly similar viewpoint: BA should recognise super-frequent cheapo travellers (somewhat) and also that my company's travel policy blows. To answer one FTers question, I work in an industry where I'm "connected" to work 24/7 so travelling can be whenever own time or not. I think its just outdated from when the company was just US based (little trans-atlantic) and now its harder to change. Dunno. But atleast everything else (hotels etc) is liberal.

I am trying to just learn the sly methods for getting tier points - thanks for the suggestions. I guess mostly what I'd benefit from Gold as opposed to Silver is the increased mileage and higher probability of upgrade from Y lol. Oh and the arrivals lounge can be very useful on return flights from NY as we have no shower in our office.

Considered changing airline groups, but as I'm based in London it just seems that BA is the easiest one to go with in terms of facilities and destinations and timetables. And OneWorld has some pretty good airlines. All the NY guys are on SkyTeam (Continental) and that just isnt great here (though I did bag a couple of Trans-At flights in business with our lawyers and so got Silver on CO pretty quick). Even the senior guys are flying with stopovers to get the cheapest business fare. In terms of a business policy I think its a jest - but thats a whole other story and don't want to go on a tangent.

I guess, as one FTer said, I'll just have to justify (some day) that I am making loads of money for the company when I travel so I should fly business! In the mean time, heres to hoping that BA add 5tp for cheapo ET...
