On my Latitude D630 I use StandBy. For whatever reason when I would power-up from hibernate the wireless wouldn't function and would require a full reboot. With StandBy this problem is not present. Also, StandBy consumes much less power than I assumed (around 2% over 12 hours). The speed associated with StandBy is a great bonus as well.
