If the flight attendant refuses to give his/her name, ask the purser. S/he should know the flight attendant's name.

2 years ago, I flew JFK-NRT-TPE.
The flight had mechanical problem in JFK.
The gate agent sent me to fly AA to NRT and then connected UA881 to Taipei.
AA was ok. The seat was softer but the flight attendants were lazy.
When I arrived NRT, it was 2 hours earlier than if I took UA.
After passing the security I found the UA881 delayed too.
It delayed for 4 hours and 5 minutes.
So, I had to layover for 8 hours at NRT.
The UA agent didn't provide any certificate for food or beverage.
My credit card provided insurance that if the flight delay more than 4 hours, I can buy food or phone card.
I asked for the delay statement but the agent wouldn't give me.
He said that I should apply in TPE.
Since it was 4 hours and 5 minutes delay, I went to eat Sushi and hot soup.
4 hours later, we started boarding and the first announcement was the entertainment system was broken........
Next day, I called UA TPE office for the delay statement.
They only showed that the flight only delayed for 3 hours and 50 minutes.
I said that the monitor showed that it delayed for 4 hours and 5 minutes.
That's why I bought food by my credit card.
But she insisted that she could only write 3 hours and 50 minutes.
I did tape the delay showed on the monitor by my camera, but I could not find it at that time.
The agent then offered me upgrade to Business class from TPE-NRT for my return trip and hoped that I could give UA another chance.
It was good to be upgraded to Business class and everything was smooth from TPE to NRT.
The next trip, NRT-JFK, I seated at Economy Plus area(I was 2p).
One flight attendant came and said "this is not your seat" " you moved from Economy" "Where is your original seat?" She didn't ask me to show the boarding pass for her and instead by saying that.
I was angry and asked for her name.
She denied.
Then, I asked to talk to the purser for her name.
The purser said "due to the security reason that she can't give me the flight attendant's name"
I still wrote the complain letter when I went back to my home.
Because she was the only flight attendant who could speak in Mandarin on that flight.
