Well, this thread was revived by westcoastman. He knows about the special, but he's still not happy about not having the Cathay coupon. He has the costs correctly going to Hong Kong with two people traveling together on the AE, which is HK$160 x 2 = HK$320 roundtrip. Instead of HK$100 x 2 = HK$200 roundtrip.

Apparently, HK$120 ($15.42) is a big deal. Which is why I'm providing all these alternatives, including the bus (which he won't take) and the S1/MTR route.

There are additional ways to get to/from the airport. Like the "E" buses, but westcoastman won't take buses; or discount taxis, but that's still going to cost more than $160 one-way.
