Agreed, one of the most frustrating things is if you have FAMs that make a reservation. The airline is required to seat them in whatever exact seats they request, even if somebody is already assigned. And of course, the airline can't say "I'm sorry we have FAMs onboard which is why we had to switch your seats," they just have to pretend they screwed up your seating assignment.
