As doober and LessO2 have pointed out, the Travel Safety/Security forum is home to hundreds of threads that flesh out the hows and whys of security systems across all modes of travel. I won't just say to you, "Do a search," but rather suggest that you scroll through a few pages of thread titles and discern for yourself what some of the problems are with the nature of security these days.
