Why no LHR - BHX service then?
Not commercially worth it. Anyway, it would mean BA had to fly from BHX rather than leaving us to the tender mercies of FlyMayBe.

It only takes 90min by car (at a quiet time) or 2.5 hours by public transport (on a good day) to get to LHR. Which is why so many Midlands people fly LH, LX, AF or KL these days.

I think the last remnant service was LHR-BHX-EMA and was withdrawn in the late 1980's.
