some very good suggestions only made. Only addition I have is the Sundial Restaurant on the 76th floor of the Westin hotel (rotating restaurant). The steaks were good, but not the best I've had. Great lounge and for drinks with an amazing view. Great for a romantic sunset dinner. I proposed to my wife on the obervation deck looking out over the city.

On a side note, I was a big fan of the Varsity... but that was during my college days. I'm also a huge fan of Tommy's at 2 a.m. in California, so I guess it depends on your style. I had a great experience at the Renaissance downtown. Sits just outside the business of downtown but still within walking distance.
