Hi all, I cannot seem to find the thread on this specific situation (although I know it has been discussed before), but am sure you can help me -- it's two days from departure, and my domestic leg (EWR-SFO) has cleared, but intl (SFO-SYD) has not, and they were paid by a single SWU a few months ago.

I know I should have done it sooner, but should I ask now that the domestic upgrade be switched to a CR1 (which takes some phone agent talent), or waitlisted for 500s? Or, in case the SFO-SYD does not clear at all (it is looking a little chancey), would I get the SWU given back to me and a CR1 deducted if I asked?
