I'm flying from SEA to NRT this weekend. The flight looks full - so there is a possibility of a bump. I'd be willing to fly the following day if the compensation was good (and especially if they were going to put me in business).

Do I hurt my chances of bumping if I check luggage? I could just hand carry luggage - but it would be inconvenient.
