Both experiences I've had flying BD (1996 and 2000) required a follow up letter to Mileage Plus with a copy of my ticket reciept. What irks me is I verified with the gate agent that my MP number was punched into my PNR, yet I still get a letter from MP Customer No-Service scolding me for not doing so. Boy does that burn me up! "Hello, Right Hand? Do you know what your Left is doing?"
