I personally find Marco Polo club agents as smart and very helpful. Most of my requests regardless of how odd they are, have been handled very well by the agents at Marco Polo club.

As for the Marco Polo club call center, I've had mostly bad experience with them. Don't get me wrong, they are very willing to help, but it's simply their ability to understand (both English and Cantonese). If my memory serves me correctly, I wasn't asking for any complex things, just basic stuff like changing ticket dates and routes, requesting seats, etc.
Ironically, right after I got upgraded to the MP Silver status (a month ago) I called and was server perfectly and didn't have to repeat a single sentence.
I know, I know...it's all a coincidence, guess I have been unlucky those times I called. Just want to share my experience / whine
