I'm an AA Platinum who is probably going to be moving my business to Alaska, I faxed a copy of my AAdvantage card to the customer service number (206-433-3477), along with my newly created Alaska Milelage Plan number, a short note expressing my desire for a tier match, and my contact info. I did this last Thursday, however my Mileage Plan account doesn't reflect MVPG status (at least, not as far as I can tell) and I haven't heard from Alaska Airlines with regards to whether or not they would do the match.

I realize it's only been a few days, I'm just wondering how long I should wait before I should worry about whether they received my fax. I'm also not sure what happens if they decide to reject your tier status match request, do they contact you by mail?
