So would I, of course. I'll go a step further. If I could find an alternate itinerary on another airline, flying all mainline and I was guaranteed an upgrade to FC, but that involved a connection I would always pick the rj, because getting there quickly without making a connection, with all of the concomitant potential for delays, lost luggage, etc. is always preferable to me.

I recently flew UsEx DCA-MCI on an E-170. Not exactly an rj in the vein of the E-135/145 but it was great to go non-stop (the E-170 was very comfortable, a real plane with real overhead storage, 2 lavs, etc.)

Still, the very longest flights (3 hrs+ )on the little rj's CoEx flies are not especially pleasant.
