EU Commissioner Pushing for implementation of EU version of CAPPS by January 1, 2009
An European Union Commissioner is leading the EU charge for a US-style CAPPS program to be implemented within, from and to the EU.

He wants the data to be retained for some 13 years.

He has been talking to Chertoff about this. Talk about inspiration.
