I will do that for paid flights in the future. For my next flight, it is a RR ticket and when I asked on the phone if I could build my own itenerary to fly from SJC, they said no.

I didn;t feel this was so unreasonable a request because I used to do this all the time when flying between SJC and DAL when the Wright Amendment disallowed selling a ticket between these locations, but an RR reservation could still be booked via the cust service line.

Has anyone has cust serv build a RR itenerary between two cities that do not officially connect?
