How much of EWR-FLA traffic is O/D and how much is connecting, especially for the afternoon flights covered by the 752s?

If CO is generating tons of connecting traffic (and revenue) to/from its EWR international flights and Florida, then wouldn't it stand to lose big money from dropping seats from its 752s on the Florida routes? Or would it not be a big deal because they could just as easily (though at higher cost) put two 738s on routes?
