Why no flights from SJC to LIT

I need to travel from my home in San Jose to Little Rock Arkansas to visit family. The SJC airport is just a couple of miles from home and is extremely convenient for me and Southwest has always been the largest airline there.

But now that they are flying out of SFO again (and still flying out of Oakland so 3 airports in our area), when I try to book SJC to LIT, I get an error message that this route is no longer flown through SJC and I should try SFO or OAK.

What I don't understand about this is the SJc to LIT flights always went through LAX, LAS, Albequerque or other places that can still be reached from San Jose. It is completely possible to make connections from SJC to LIT if I wanted to buy seperate tickets to each (and retrieve and re-check bags at stopovers). So I don't understand why say that I can;t reach certain destinations in their network from others?

Would you do this to push traffic to SFO? I can't think of any good reason to discontinue this service.
