Lounge access for domestic flights in the LOTFAP is not the be-all and end-all of a flying experience. Don't stress over it. Just plan on spending your time in a bar, restaurant or cafe. there are lots of them to choose from in most airports across the US, and some are quite pleasant. You will likely even find it just as nice sitting in Starbucks with a half-decent coffee than sitting in an AC drinking the stewed muck they have in their self-serve urns.

About the only things you lose is access to a shared PC, generally cleaner toilets, perhaps a shower, and an AAngel to help sort things out if flights are delayed or cancelled.
