I was taking 3 golf clubs with me on a trip just to use a driving range at my destination. While going through security at BOS, the security agent said that I have 3 golf clubs and I am only allowed 2. I told them that I was in First and 1K so they referred me to a UA agent to clarify. The agent pulled up some information on a screen and showed me that you can only carry-on 2 golf clubs (except for NRT where you are only allowed 1). They said that it had nothing to do with excess lounge but security. Apparently, 3 clubs is considered a weapon???
