I absolutely agree, hopel. If I had to choose between a regular hotel room at a swanky resort and a villa with a kitchen, separate bedroom, and living room at a less swanky place, I'd always go with the latter when traveling with the kids. The pools and grounds are nicer at the hotel resorts, but great pools almost always translate into bigger crowds. And while you can't use their pools if you're not a guest, you can definitely stroll around the resort and visit the restaurants/bars whenever you'd like.

If you got a good rate at the KBC, I think you'll be very happy.
