Using the search function would probably take you to the United Airlines FAQ at the top of this page, but in short:

- EQMs and EQSs are miles/segments used to determine when you achieve a certain elite level (Premier, Premeir Executive, 1K). They generally equate to one mile per mile flown and a calculated on a calendar year basis.

- Earn lifetime United miles by flying on United.
