Usually a "single room" is sized so that the twin-sized bed is jammed up against one wall and there is about 8" of open space next to the bed. There may even be a few inches of open space at the foot of the bed, but I wouldn't count on it. The TV (there is always a TV) is mounted on the wall on a bracket. There is a narrow hallway leading in with the bathroom on one side. Two people trying to fit into one of these rooms to TALK is not a quality experience, let alone trying to SLEEP!
