(They are pretty decent, but I don't know that route on LAN well enough to comment about its performance -- check out the Argentina forum here on FT where someone else may be able to point you in the right direction in that regard.)

Seriously, if you are late into AEP rush to EZE anyway and try your luck with the airline personnel there instead of calling Air Canada on the phone. Short of being able to re-arrange your flight schedules, there's not a whole lot you can do at this point besides online check-in if Air Canada allows that.
