If Visiting the USA you are required to give the address of your First Hotel, they ask for your Credit Card, then if anybody in Homeland security wants you they will check with your credit card company, anyhow in many cases Homeland Security will already have over 30 different items of Personal Information on you through eAPIS between your flight taking off and arriving USA.
