If you've been staying at hotels and other lodgings in the Schengen countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden), they are obligated to report every non-national guest to the local police.
