very cool video...

saw the same thing at sfo years back when a) twa was still around and you could watch the planes from the parking lot opposite 1r.

twa 223 (sfo-sjc-stl) (md 80) took off from 10l and blew it's right engine at about 200 feet (big shot of flame out of the engine followed by a puff of black smoke). made a big circle out over the bay and came right back on 19l. perfect job by the flight deck ^.

the interesting thing is that when 223 came in for it's original landing prior to the event, as they were taxiing to the gate, the flight deck complained about being stuck beind a 67 and having "all kinds of stuff blowing in their face"*. wonder if that had anything to do with the engine failure as perhaps something blew into the engine.

*having a handheld scanner is fun and in the video, are you sure it's a 57 (no double over wing window exits)? looks more like an airbus.....
