Mountainman: I'm not going to disagree with your comments, because I haven't stayed at or even visited the Regent, and I do think Braniff's comment was a little harsh. But I will say that citing tripadvisor in this forum probably won't convince a lot of people, since many of us find the reviews at tripadvisor quite unreliable as compared to the comments offered in this forum by posters we know, in a fashion. Perhaps you could elaborate on your experiences for us. I, for one, am interested to hear.

As for the RC pool, can some of you making favorable comments clarify something for me. When Mr. Megatop and I stayed at the RC three years ago, just as renovations of the rooms were getting underway, the pool at the RC sucked. It was an old-fashioned dug-out thing in a concrete slab in a poorly landscaped "garden" in front of the main entrance. The fitness center was underwhelming too. Since someone described the pool as an infinity-edged job, I'd just like some clarification that the pool was renovated in the last couple of years. And a description of the pool area would be much-appreciated. We won't be staying there on our next visit to SIN, but it's on the list for the one after that.
