Well, he says in his pitch:
"If you have ANY problems redeaming your miles, I'll cheerfully refund your money"
So it sounds like the scenario of having already taken the courses would end up as a push.
If he gave the disclaimer about University courses, people might Google for it and cheat him out of out of his commission. The refund policy fills that gap.
