I think the moral of the story is to book the rooms yourself and not pay a 3rd party agency to do the bookings, then you will get the points without all the problems that you have went thru.
You have been very lucky to get the points and IMHO iaw with the T&C you should have got nothing apart from any incidentals for your stay.
I learned my lesson years ago and dont allow anyone unless they are on my managers list with PC to book my hotels.
