Well, here's what happened.

I emailed my travel agent three times asking what rate was paid for the two separate HIX stays. They never replied. I suppose that's because the trip was over and there was no more money to be made from me. While plans were being made, their replies to emails were practically instant. Irritating, but that's OK since I'll never use them again.

I wasn't going to make any phone calls because I wasn't willing to invest a long time on hold (and probably more than once) for this since they were only one and two night stays. I took a shot with email and figured whatever happened, happened.

Without any idea what I paid, I was reluctant to contact PC directly and ask for points.

So when my PC statement arrived yesterday, I see I got credit for the stay where I persuaded the clerk to enter my PC number. From the points I received, it looks like the rate was $159. I think I'll mail to PC a copy of the folio from my other stay with a note saying I didn't get points credit, and see what happens on that front. The rates should have been comparable.

I think the moral of the story is to push to get the card number entered into their system. As always, the advice here was great - thanks to all.
