Quick update... rather than wait the 8 weeks, I called Alamo today about my second rental. The agent looked up my reservation and said: "That has NOT been submitted for frequent flyer credits. Let me take care of that for you... I see it was Southwest, can you please confirm the account number for me?"

At first, I thought that my WN # was on the reservation but never submitted, but now I realize that the Quadruple Credits Corp ID was on the reservation, so that's probably how he knew it was Southwest.

Either way, this is the second Alamo rental where I distinctly remember giving the counter my Southwest # (both times, I had to direct them to "WN" on the computer screen when they couldn't find "SW"), and called several weeks later to find that no credits had been submitted. A quick look over at the SWA Rental Car Codes thread, and I see I'm not the only one having trouble.

I miss the days when Hertz had the quadruple-credit promo... their whole operation was so much more professional, from the Gold Canopy service (they comped Gold for me based in AA status years ago) with my car waiting, to the fact that I never once had to call for WN credit. I'm starting to wonder if the extra credit is worth all of the hassle.
