I'm not sure I agree with bigguy about the fibbing culure of Marriott, but after being PLT for 13 years, this happened to me for the first time last night at the Stanford Court in SF. I checked the website from the office and found that they were selling rooms for tonight. When I got back to the hotel, and asked to extend my stay one night (even vounteering to change to a smaller, no-view room if they needed my room), I was told that the hotel was fully booked tonight and asked to check back this morning. But I've been on conf calls since 8 am, and I'm temped just to check out and stay somewhere else tonight just on principle.
