My BP always say, "PLATINUM" under group, since that is the status to which I belong.
In other words, I don't believe that a boarding group is assigned to Exec Plat and Plat... they just list the elite status. Since boarding, IME, has been, First, then Executive Platinum, Platinum, Gold and Airpass members, THEN Group 1 - this makes sense to not list a boarding group also.
That was the long answer. The short answer is ... it doesn't matter where in coach you are sitting if you are elite. You will get to board ahead of groups 1-6.
Both answers are slightly wrong. GOLD is listed AS GROUP 1 - NOT ** GOLD **. Hence Golds (OW Ruby) are to board WITH group 1 as that is what they are - NOT "...ahead of groups 1-6..." (Ahead of groups 2-6, yes!)
