OK so i'm getting close to narrowing down my options.....Shangri la isn't available to us for some reason my husbands' co doesn't have a deal with them. So, based on this i think i'm choosing between RC, FS and MO (Raffles also isn't on list, although Raffles the Plaza is). Based on comments here as well as tripadvisor, i think i'm reading it like this:
RC - probably the most luxy rooms of the three, even in lowest category which we'd be in sadly. Very nice outdoor pool, spa, fitness centre etc but service can be lacking.
FS - rooms a little tired (not up to standards of most FS), but again good outdoor pool etc, good service.
MO - Unexciting rooms, fantastic service, location perhaps not the best for our purposes? Good pool (i think - getting muddled now?!)

Since nice rooms (and i always favour a modern recently renovated style over old style luxury which i usually find fussy) and good outdoor pool area for relaxing by and indoor spa/fitness etc are my main priorities (especially the outdoor pool since i have decided against trying to combine with time on Sentosa so i will want to spend some quality down-time by the pool, weather permitting of course, so want somehwere that feels relaxing and almost resorty when by the pool, to escape the urban rush) it looks to me as though RC is my best bet, but perhaps i am misreading tripadvisor comments on the rooms at the FS and the rooms/location of the MO? I doubt we'll eat any meals bar breakfast in the hotels as I'm looking forward to sampling Sinagpore's food scene, so only the breakfast buffet is a consideration.
Any final feedback before i go ahead and book as i must get on now as it's only in 2 weeks time...also need to have a back-up choice in case my first choice isn't available......also restaurant recommendations gratefully received too!!
