I'd be delighted if they came to run all the trains in the UK! Who says publicly-owned companies can't be efficient, cost-effective and competitive? (although I suspect they are used to running with much higher levels of subsidy per passenger than comparative UK companies - although I don't know for certain...). having said that, the German economy isn't doing so well is it, but I suspect that the fundamentals are more sound than the UK.....
