Thank you for confirming what I suspected.
Both PHX and Vancouver are showing FC availability the day we want to come home.....
Since our final destination is Seattle I wonder if it makes more sense to initially book Vancouver? The flight gets in too late to connect on but I don't really mind an overnight at an airpoirt hotel and then taking the short flight home the next morning.....of course we would have to go thru customs twice (Canada and the USA)
PHX would require an additional 3 hour flight to Seattle getting in at 11PM and then we would have to take a ferry home getting in closer to 2AM......
of course both scenerios may be moot if we can eventually get tickets straight to Seattle.....
P.S. Can we get waitlisted on the flight we want or is it our responsibility to keep checking back?

Have you looked at PHX - I have always been able to get FC award seats thru PHX on pretty much any date I needed them - and have generally then been able to switch the booking to a more preferred airport closer to the time (typically 2 weeks out) when additional inventory was released.
