I'm sorry if this has been asked before- I tried searching but I can't search on "BA Codeshare" or on LHR-DXB or DXB... :-( All less than 4 chars.

Okay so here's my assumptions, I need some verification if at all possible.

1. I'm booked from MIA-LHR on AA and LHR-DXB on AA flight number that is operated by BA (codeshare). I'm assuming I'll get 100% mileage even booked in discount economy (M) on both flights since they're both AA flight numbers??

2. I've secured an eVIP upgrade on MIA-LHR, but not on LHR-DXB (not AA metal). is there any way to get out of coach on the BA operated AA flight? I called AA - they can book me into Biz (for a fee of course, but I don't want to pay that) - then they suggested I call BA. I called BA - they said it's an AA flight number so call AA ;-)

I'm not sure if I can even get into WT+ forget CW... Any hints/ideas - I have quite a few miles in BA's program as well as AA's program... no status on BA though!
