given an *electronic* CS voucher today, a nice development?

I wrote to customer relations about a problem I had with a flight a few days ago, and they just replied, with a personal message, and instead of a voucher in the mail, an attached code for $100 off electronically.

Is this a new development? A nice change from having to send in vouchers to Dearborn, and probably helps reduce their work too.
