For the record the syd-adl-per-syd flights ticketed as part of my original ticket. All I wanted to do was amend the dates - which is now complete. I think the confusion has been through using the word ADD rather than INCLUDE.

My real frustration is that QF refuse when making the initial booking to include flights after a return to the POO. AA will include those flights and after some cajoling CX did. QF have refused both me and other pax. I have attacked this through a TA as well as directly with QF and mentioned in passing to a QF staffer recently - they maintain that sgements after return to POO are illegal.

My minor frustration recently was getting the run around over the past two days when trying to change dates - this has now been completed successfully after paying QF a $40 service fee.
