If your daughter is comfortable traveling by herself then she would not be uncomfortable in Sedona. The town is laid back and being tourist oriented the natives don't bite She can join a group horseback riding or go off on a trail by herself. Let her decide if a trip to Sedona was a good way to precede her trip to the Mayo clinic. If nothing else the Red Rocks will be forever in her mind.
