Same thing would apply in BKK. NW only operates 1 flight a day so the check-in counter would probably close by 0530 every day.

There's no outgoing "customs" but there is passport control (or immigration though you are leaving the country).

You can use web checkin and get your BP. AFAIK, you don't need to go to the checkin desk if you have this printed BP and have no bags to check.
