Any new service is welcome, but IAD-SEA offers better opportunity to stimulate demand than IAD-SAN, because no low-fare carrier ever took over the flyI flights after Independence Air went bankrupt.

Right now, you can get IAD-SAN weekday r/t for less than $400 on B6, but IAD-SEA on UA or DCA-SEA on AS is still running over $600.
