UA V class does NOT equal to NH Y class. If it is true, did they assign and allow you to sit in premium economy on NH ? That is several thousand dollars different. You just got lucky on that, basically almost any fare class in UA economy get 70% of actual miles on NH, including V, W, S and T.
No, I was seated in 28G,which I don't believe is premium economy. The E-ticket says UA9676 'V' class, along with the remaining segments NRT/HNL and HNL/SFO. The boarding pass says NH912, but also indicated UA9676.
On the MP statement, it shows NH912 'Y' class, and the remaining segments NRT/HNL and HNL/SFO as 'V' class.
It's possible I just got lucky on that
