Despite the big TVs and aesthetic makeover, HPs can be grim places. Staff satisfaction is often low. The "host" at Dulles North Sterling complained bitterly to me about working conditions compared to the Amerisuites time. Guests, including Diamonds, now pay for eggs at breakfast. Some HPs have room microwaves, others don't. The bathroom makeover was minimal. AC blasts from a cheap wall unit right next to the bed.
